SailQube Magic arrives at HSC

The old composite Oppies used by the Junior Fleet had become too tired and expensive to maintain, with those considerations in mind the Committee committed to replacing them and we now  have four new SailQubes ready for the 2023 season.

A successful pre-season test took place with everyone enjoying the improved performance of the boats. The SailQube is a Jo Richards designed hull roto moulded to fit within the Optomist class measurements but is available at a fraction of the cost of the GRP built Optomist.

This is the first new investment into club boats for some years, the Club is committed to buying more boats to support the new-to-sailing members requirements and the course training boat fleet. Watch this space!
