Junior/Youth
At Hykeham Sailing Club, we are running dinghy training groups for children between 5 and 18 years. We are sailing on Saturday, between 1 and 4 pm. Our
training sessions are designed for Junior and Youth sailors with any level of sailing ability and are run by qualified instructors and race coaches, providing a
safe and fun learning environment.
We are currently running three groups:
- Junior Rookies (Dolphins): Goals are to be able to independently sail a triangle and reach RYA Youth stage 2.
- Junior/Youth Advanced (Sharks): Goals are to become more confident in stronger winds and reach RYA Youth stage 4 and start to develop Instructing
skills. - Racing Training Group: Goals are to develop racing skills and prepare sailors to independently participate in club racing and open meetings.
Junior/Youth training sessions are open and free of charge to all Junior and family HSC members. Our programme for the forthcoming season is shown
