Junior Sailing

At Hykeham Sailing Club, we are running dinghy training groups for children between 5 and 18 years. We are sailing on Saturday, between 1 and 4 pm. Our
training sessions are designed for Junior and Youth sailors with any level of sailing ability and are run by qualified instructors and race coaches, providing a
safe and fun learning environment.

We are currently running three groups:

  • Junior Rookies (Dolphins): Goals are to be able to independently sail a triangle and reach RYA Youth stage 2.
  • Junior/Youth Advanced (Sharks): Goals are to become more confident in stronger winds and reach RYA Youth stage 4 and start to develop Instructing
    skills.
  • Racing squad: Goals are to develop racing skills and prepare sailors to independently participate in club racing and open meetings.

Junior/Youth training sessions are open and free of charge to all Junior and family HSC members. Our tentative programme for the season 2023 is shown
below. HSC club members may use the links below to enter the booking system.
