About Hykeham Sailing Club
Welcome to Hykeham Sailing Club. Established in 1958 near the beautiful city of Lincoln, the sailing club is situated on a tranquil and secluded 180-acre lake. We have established a reputation as a warm, welcoming and family-friendly sailing club.
Hykeham Sailing Club offers a range of sailing, racing, learning to sail courses, outdoor water sports, and recreational activities for beginners to experienced sailors and everything in-between. We provide something to suit everyone, any age, skill level, and interest. Our sailing club enables the whole family to participate in various outdoor water sports in a fun and easy-going environment. We are not just all about sailing. We host and organise a range of off-water social events throughout the year for all to enjoy.
From simple beginnings, our club and facilities have grown over the years and with a new Clubhouse erected in October 2007, Hykeham Sailing Club is one of the premier clubs in the eastern part of the East Midlands.
The clubhouse has a substantial decked area overlooking the sailing water and a modern kitchen serving hot & cold drinks and light snacks. These facilities are available throughout the season on race days, Wednesday evenings & various other social events. The clubhouse also has good disabled facilities and access and contains male and female changing rooms with toilets & showers—plenty of space & seating for ‘wet’ sailors and a ‘dry’ lounge for spectators. The boat park has space for approximately 150 boats.
